productivity, Empower Your Business with Productivity, CopyLady, CopyLadyWe’re counting our blessing post-Irma. We’re back in the office and our day-to-day operations have never been better. As we settle in and get ready for the long haul, it leaves us noticing the cracks of inefficiency and lack of productivity during the day.

Every business has areas of opportunity, small minutes of waste that add up to hours throughout the month. CopyLady struggles with those wasted minutes, too, but we’re more determined than ever to make the most of each day.

We’ve compiled a list of tips to help your business maximize production so you can maximize profits! Read below to discover how these tips can turn into dollars!

Be a Team Player

Whether you’re at the front desk or several floors up with a CEO placard on your door, you’re still in the same building. Small efforts like a cloud-based storage system, efficient printer contact lists, and consistent communication can make a huge difference. Don’t be afraid to point out inconsistencies in communication, areas of opportunity, and tasks that could be done more efficiently.

Your voice matter. Use it.

Be Proactive

Speaking of tasks, do you know how much of your day is spent actually working? What about your employee’s’ day? Begin tracking your time on tasks and see where you and your team fall short and what tasks take up the majority of your day.

That being said, it’s also encouraged to take regular 5-10 minute breaks. Research shows that short breaks after a long assignment will improve focus and job performance.

Distinguish Meetings from Emails

We know that this may sound simple, but not every issue needs to lead to a meeting. If there’s an issue or concern, think whether it could be solved in an email or does it require a meeting?

Meetings, while helpful, are one of the biggest time-suckers in the day. If something could be resolved in a few emails, choose to say “no” to the meeting and yes to “Reply All”.

Multitask (With Caution)

Multitasking is part of every business, however, if you’re not completing projects on time or quality is left wanting, it could be time to quit multitasking and start prioritizing. Focus on quality over quantity. As always, if you need help, don’t hesitate to ask! Know your strengths as well as the strength of your employees.
